New Clip Art Projects

I took a brief hiatus from the web sit in order to put together a CD of most of the clip art found at http://www.familyfungraphics.com/.

I received so many emails from members and visitors requesting to purchase a CD that I realized it was time to make one.

I took most of the images currently found on the web site and I put them together on a CD in a higher resolution format than is available from the web site and I included a commercial license for business, non-profit and government use.

The CD also includes a printable .PDF catalogue of the images.

I am also lining up some new clip art to update the web site... Finally!

Free Clip Art

Spring Clip Art

I don't know where you are while you are reading this but here, where I am, Spring is slow in coming. We had snow last night and I'm anxious for the sun to warm up and melt all of that white stuff. I won't let the weather dampen my spirits. I will press forward with creating my new Spring Clip Art!

Over the next couple of weeks, you will see the new spring clip art appear on http://www.familyfungraphics.com/ I may even put some of it in the free area.

I'm designing the usual stuff lick flowers, and happy creatures. I also have some more creative stuff in the works. So keep checking to see what's new for spring clip art!

We are getting lots of requests and a lot of hits on our black and white clip art. Many of you like to use it for kid's activities like coloring. They are high resolution but if you print them using the Windows printing wizard, you can automatically fit them to a letter sized page. Thanks for the compliments about our work and keep the requests coming. That's what makes the quality of our art work better.

Keep the requests comming in and we will continue to produce the black and white clip art that's so much in demand.

Custom Wall Decals

I recently had the fun experience of designing and producing some wall decals for a child's room.

It was great fun and a rewarding experience. I learned alot about the process of creating wall decals and I realized it was not as difficult nor as expensive as I would have thought.

There are some websites out there that will tell you how to make them yourself. Don't even bother. All you need to do is find the high resolution artwork you want (I used my own from my website) and take it to a reputable sign maker or print shop. They will make them up quicker and easier than you ever could with the do-it-yourself kits. The price we paid was about $15.00 for every 3 feet of film we used to produce the custom decals.

Just remember, the key to producing Quality, wall decals is to start with high resolution art work. If you have low res artwork and you want to enlarge it, it will look horrible.

Valentine Clip Art

Valtentine's day 2008 is aproaching and I am working feverishly to create just the right Valentine Clip Art for all of you lovers out there!

Hearts are a staple in the Valentine clip art line up but I am trying to throw a few design twists into the clip art mix. I am also trying my hand at greeting card type graphics for Valentine's day.

As usual, continue to send suggestions for Valentine clip art as well as any other type of clip art you might want to see.

The Site is Live

Yay! The sit is mostly functional. I have notified all members that we are up and running. If you have any problems logging onto the site, please let me know. Of course, the hard part for me is transferring all of the images to the new website. I'm plugging away at it and should be done withint the next week of so.

I have corrected the ecard issues and I am still working on the Download aspect of the website. I hope to have that resolved soon.

We have launched the new site!

For the existing members, you should be able to log in without any problems.

We are going to spend the next few days uploading the rest of our images and we will be adding a few new ones. You will find that the searches will be much easier, and the thumbnail and download features will go much more smoothly. As with any new website, there are still some bugs to iron out. The lightbox feature isn't working properly yet and the ecard feature needs some tweaking. We hope to have these features working properly in a week or so.

So check out the site, and get to know it. I'm sure you'll agree it is a vast improvement.

Getting Ready

Finally!

I am getting ready to launch the redesigned site. Most of the bugs are worked out and I am just transferring the image files. I expect that by Saturday at the latest, it will be ready to launch.

For you, the existing members, the transition should go smoothly. You will receive an email stating that you need to click on a link to activate your account and you are ready to go.

For me, the images and thumbnails will be easier to uoload. For you, you can browse easier, download images easier and comment on images.

The look of the site is cleaner, more professional and easy to navigate. I think you'll like it.

Where have I been?

Sorry abot the lack of updates lately. I've been spending too much time trying to rework the website. I'm not satisfied with the way the images are being thumbnailed so I'm rewriting the code to try to improve the website.

Thank you to everybody sending emails requesting clip art. I am working on them and I will post them soon. As well, I am still working on the christmas clipart.

"Holiday Clip Art

I just posted some new holiday clip art on the web site. http://www.familyfungraphics.com I have created some scenery that will also work well for desktop wall paper.

The holiday clipart is consuming quite a bit of my energy lately. Thanks again to our members who are suggesting clip art and thanks for bearing with us as we build our library. Remember, we are regularly adding new, high resolution clip art to the site and it is all original. None of this clip art has been seen on the internet.

As I said, the holiday clip art is my focus right now. You may notice that for some artwork, there are several pieces that are simillar. I try to offer different variations on the same image so that it is easier for you to find exactly what you need to work perfectly with your design.

Gearing up for Christmas.

I am continuing to add Christmas clip art to the library. Soon to be added are some high resolution winter scenes. These pieces are perfect for desktop wallpaper. As well, I will be working on some other seasonal clip art.

Thank you to those who have submitted clip art suggestions, I will get right on those and add them to the library as well.

Please bear with us over the next few weeks as we will be re-working some aspects of the web site to steamline it and make it a little easier to navigate. Any suggestions in this area would be appreciated.

Welcome to the official blog for the website http://www.familyfungraphics.com we offer family clip art and custom clip art.

The holiday season is quickly approaching and the demand for seasonal clipart is increasing. I've added a new Seasonal category in which I have put some hi res pictures of Santa, snow covered trees and a couple of snow men. Remember, all of our clip art is family clip art so it's safe for everyone to browse and use.

I am also working on some sports related clip art to be added soon to the library.

My goal is to build this site up to be the very best there is in family clip art. We are open to suggestions to make the site better and to customize the library to suit our members' needs.
